Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's The Little Prince is my absolute favorite book because it serves as a vital reminder never to become like the "grown-ups" the narrator so aptly describes—people who lose their sense of wonder and only care about numbers, figures, and practicalities, missing the essential beauty in life. It is a story that champions the perspective of a child's heart, beautifully illustrated by the poignant moment when the little prince reveals just how lonely he was on his tiny planet. I often think about the chapter where he says, "One day, you know, I saw the sunset forty-four times!", a quote that perfectly encapsulates why I cherish the book: it encourages me to value intangible feelings and connections over the cold, superficial data that adults too often prioritize.
