Our Journey: Built on Love, Curiosity, and a Little Inspiration from a Titan

Eren’s Book Cellar didn't start in a boardroom; it started in a nursery. When my son, Eren, was born—named after the resilient Eren Yeager—I knew I wanted him to experience the transformative power of reading before he could even walk. We introduced books to him before he was even a year old, but as any book-loving parent knows, the hunger for new stories grows faster than any budget can keep up with.

From Thrifty Roots to Global Shelves 

To keep Eren’s world expanding, I turned to thrifting. What started as a mission to fill one little boy's shelf turned into a home overflowing with treasures. In a leap of faith, I opened an Instagram account to share these finds with other families. Then the pandemic hit. Instead of slowing down, we leveled up. We connected with international suppliers, bringing brand-new, beautiful editions from the UK and US directly to readers via Shopee and Lazada.

The Digital Pivot 

Life changed again with my second pregnancy. During the fog of postpartum, I found it harder to hold a physical book, but I refused to let my love for reading die. I discovered the Kindle, and it changed everything. We began buying and selling Kindles and Kobos, helping other busy parents and readers find their way back to stories through the convenience of e-readers.

The Beginning of Something Bigger 

Today, we are coming back stronger than ever. Eren’s Book Cellar is no longer just a shop but a community for those who believe that stories should be accessible to everyone, whether they are on a thrifted page or a digital screen.

This website is just the beginning. We’re moving forward, and like the namesake of this cellar, we aren't stopping until the world has been explored—one page at a time.
